Can mods be considered ratable?#360

As the title says, I’d like to sometimes rate some game mods for being absolutely amazing, best examples are Calamity Mod for Terraria and some mods for The Binding of Isaac.

I know it would be an absolute tedious process to manually add in every single mod of every single game ever, maybe sometimes games aren’t officially supposed to be modded in the first place, so many dedicated only a small portion of the most praised verified mods to be rated by others, or even dedicating a part of the app for game mods?

Thanks for your time and have a good day!

I’ll look into it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Maybe this could be a whole separate page for eligible games? Like you click the game and if it has mods for consoles and PC you can have like a slide screen where you swipe and it shows you a list of mods for said game.

An easier way to organize it for each individual game, and also maybe add a logo like we have now for which system we choose but for if someone posts about a mod it could be like (PC, MOD) and if a game has mod support you can add it to the info page on the game where it says the system etc but like (PC, MOD SUPPORT), etc.

That would be perfect! Exactly how I hope it would be, but I wonder if mod launchers such as Tmodlauncher for Terraria would be considered its own game or just be completely ignored and have mods be associated directly with the main game? I think the latter would be alot less messy.

I doubt that all mods are worth rating as texture changes or custom made maps, but some mods such as Calamity mod or Minecraft mods as new tech horizon are way too big and feel like their own games which is why I have thought of giving them the room to shine.

I’m just thinking about the Fuze team, personally to make it a bit simpiler for them and easier for them to eventually add it when they can would be to -

Probably mostly likely avoid adding the launchers and instead focus on the mods, I feel like even if it is technically a fan made expansion it would still be considered a mod to said game so I think it should be filed into the same menu as any other mod.

But having said that I think the FUZE team should add the mod review/post support for the games that have a BIG MOD following first.

I still think they should add the review/post menu to supported games that support modding even if it’s niche.

Now having said those two paragraphs above, I think if a mod post/review selection is added to supported games I think the FUZE team should add a “REQUEST A MOD” section in the feedback category. Instead of them having to add like the “top 100” mods of each big mod supported game. I think they should let users request the mods they want in the menu instead of randomly selecting them themselves. It would be easier on them so they can just add requested ones.

Makes lots of sense, would be so much more comfortable if it was request a mod than manually adding them themselves, and dedicating them to their perspective games would make it organized enough. Maybe also dedicate a part in the rating page or explore page somehow so it shows mods of games you played or rated before so it is still both new and relevant?
Would love to see well received mods of my favorite games!
